Blessed Assurance! What blessedness! What better assurance than knowing that Jesus is mine. That we have been purchased by Him with the precious blood of Christ; the Lamb slain so that we may be saved. 

Indeed, we are blessed; so blessed that we should be praising God every moment of our lives.

This popular Christian hymn is a collaboration between Fanny Crosby and her friend, Phoebe Knapp. Sometime in 1873, Phoebe Knapp repeatedly played the music for this hymn on the piano two or three times to Fanny Crosby and asked her what the music said. Fanny replied; "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!"
